Gear

Having worked on untold documentary and behind the scenes productions, I have built up and array of gear that is run and gun friendly.

I have owned a Panasonic HVX200 for five years and shot hundreds of hours of footage with it. Over the years I’ve gotten accustomed to its quirks and can produce startling results with this camera given abundant light.

I shot a segment about the Datapop event at SXSW 2009 with the HVX.

In low light situations or when I need more depth of field, I shoot with a Canon 7D.

I love The Eagle Rock Gospel Singers, I put together a clip of them rehearsing Dead and Gone I shot with the 7D:

I also have a GoPro, it’s a great tool for outdoor b-roll. The driving shot early on in this clip from clip from On the Rocks I field produced is a good example.
